Gilded Reverie Lenormand by Ciro Marchetti - review

Beginner Lenormand Class: Basic One-Card Meanings

By the Gods...

I swear some days it just seems like the magick is more powerful and flows thru you like water. Prolly always there but it just seems some days you are more attuned to notice it, manifestations of such appear constantly and you feel like there's nothing you can't do if your WILL so desire. Wasn't it Jesus who said if thou had the faith of a mustard seed, etc etc...Is it not the same thing?
We have faith in our gods and our beliefs, we have faith in our magick because we know there is no magick without belief or faith, does not the witches pyramid teach that thou must believe in ur magick for it to work? I believe so myself. No doubt, no fear, no guilt, only true will...

"show me how you do that trick,
the one that makes me scream she said,
the one that makes me laugh she said,
threw her arms around my head,
show me how you do it,
and i promise you, i promise
that i'll run away with you,
i'll run away with you..."

It's a Beautiful Day, right?

Well, at least Saturday was, lol. Our Ostara Sabbat could have not been more perfect! The sun was shining and the entire world seemed afresh with a new day. We finished our new garden bed and planted for the coming harvest. Our sabbat was magickal and sexual, as Ostara should be. For me, Ostara is more like Beltane for south Georgia where we live and wicca is a fertility religion soooo fertile we must be, right..lol
But Sunday and today is overcast, wet, colder, you name it. I am reminded of an oracle deck I have where the sabbat card for Ostara still has a lil snow left on the ground, seems bout right except for the cold snow part, spring is here no doubt but still early and the dregs of winter are still around.
Magickal items that are made by yourself do seem more powerful, I had told of my witch runes that I had finished recently, and dam if the readings I'm getting off my casts are not accurate and foretelling, in a powerful way. One could prolly make something like that from their own imagination and will them into fruition, but I chose to keep with the traditional set because its what I know and am comfortable with, but the castings are dead on, blessed be...
I made the mistake of ordering that bloodstone pendulum point from a non-witch shop and its not set right on the little latch thingie. It's what I get but will not make that mistake again! We should buy from our own anyway and not somewhere else...stupid.
I highly recommend including the Lenormand deck into anyones practice who also use the tarot. I have had a few of these decks for a number of years now but just recently began to study and actually use them. I didn't think that i would really be able to connect with these cards for some reason, maybe my fondness for the tarot, i don't know but i am glad now that i have started. They are an easy enough deck to learn and use and can be very useful in your practice. I have a new book witch includes the Lenormand and the Tarot and its a really enjoyable read...
I also read where Janet Farrar has a couple of new books coming out soon, one witch deals with traditional witchcraft and not wicca per say...can't wait. I do love her works...

Traditional Wicca, Traditional Witchcraft? Ostara Beginnings...

So these are two new books that I will begin with witch takes me into a whole other realm of witchcraft. These aren't about traditional wicca as I practice and believe. These books deal with witchcraft from a more primitive or traditional standpoint regardless of spiritual beliefs. O yes there is a difference.
What i practice and trust in is a form of traditional wicca that believes in a God and a Goddess. We follow the 13 full moons and the 8 witch sabbats of the year. These practices were handed down mostly by Gerald Gardner and Doreen Valiente as a way of combining many paths and beliefs into a coherent system. I find this system works for me and has for many years.
No, I don't go for the more modern new age fluff that is sooo prevalent in todays times. I did not "find" wicca by silly hollywood movies or reading Harry Potter or Twilight crap. Thank the Gods!!! Yea I guess I'm old fashioned when it comes to wicca and I don't have the patience for wanna-be's.
But these books don't question ones beliefs per say, they are about magick, witchcraft, whatever you wanna call it, these books are outside of wicca. This will be new for me. This is like a whole new ballgame, its exciting!
Know one has the right to dictate to you your beliefs or spirituality, and I don't see anything wrong with expanding ones practices. I have found that there is like a whole new set of books on traditional witchcraft out there and many are being published recently. One of my favorite wiccan authors has written a couple of books on this topic as well. Wicca is a religion, witchcraft is a practice - and there are many ways to practice this art.
So if Ostara is a time of new beginnings, then maybe a different approach to ones practices is a beginning for continued inspiration in this walk of life we all tread...

Ostara Blessings everyone

As Above, So follows Below...kinda

The Ceccoli Deck

Heres a pic of one of the new decks, I think its the eyes that got me, not a deck I think I would use regularly, its just those haunting eyes....

Some March Updates

Wow does time fly by. We have been busy as usual but thought i'd write and post a few updates to our lil world. We have gotten several new witchy books in and have started them, may post a review or two. Purchased a few new tarot decks that somehow caught my eye and finally finished the new witch runes that I started back in February witch feel and look nice enough for me.
I also started a new pendulum and have ordered a new bloodstone point for it witch should be here sometime this week..may post a pic. This one will be a lil different from others I've made in the past, we shall see...
Ostara is near, day and night are equal, our hens and duck are laying like crazy, the grass is sprouting out and our plants and our beloved bullfrog have shook off hibernation. Outside of the pollen, its a beautiful world out there, even got me a lil suntan today while outdoors in the gardens, Spring is just a few days away and Saturday is our sabbat. We hope all our witchy friends out there have a wonderful Ostara and welcome the rebirth of spring into your lives. Blessed Be all...

I think its amazing, the way that love can set you free, I think your amazing...

March On...

Yes, March is on and time for updates into our merry lil world. What a funny month February was for us. We got more hens and a duck, who the hens still hate, lol. O well, they will survive but haven't laid a dam egg since in revolt, lol, jokes on us...
Wet, cold, sunny, wet again, you name it and we had it didn't we this past month, at least all our lil veggie plants survived and awaiting spring like most of us. From Imbolc to Ostara is always a transitional time and a matter of patience. Thankfully, it has been a busy month for us and got a lot accomplished, the new grape vines are planted and blueberries and blackberries...ooo Dionysus must be so proud of us, lol...
We got two inquires over the past month about wicca and our circle but I just haven't seen the sense in responding. Commitment is a lost virtue it seems with newbies and I dont have that kind of patience anymore to be bothered with it all. They may truly desire knowledge and acceptance, but I have lost the desire to lose more of my time and books. It is truly wonderful to just be in a committed, married circle of two without the hassles and drama and bs.
It is warming up more, Ostara is around the corner carrying spring with it, a new time dawns of rebirth and renewal of all hopes and growth. We cast our magick in the desire that everyone has a most blessed day, so until next time....

Where are you Jack, my Green Man???
