 We will meet and discuss, in detail, plans for the coming year. We will contact personally with further details.
 Winter has set in but we know the sun still rises, and the earth, dormant, will rise again after its rest. Take this time to reflect upon yourself...

SAMHAIN 2013  COME TO THE SABBAT...

This year everyone needs to arrive early and bring a pumpkin to carve to be used in ritual.

We will also be performing our traditional witch bottle spell and also a poppet/magic cord n knot healing spell.

Grilled hot dogs from the circle fire for supper.

Circle will be late and the night long so plan on staying the night. We setting up camp nearby.

November 8

We are all looking forward to another joining our inner circle. He is much loved and respected by us all and the coven is proud that he would initiate with us.

He brings a wonderful and refreshing energy to the circle and his ideas and thoughts will sprout new seedlings of growth.

A busy Fall ahead

The inner circle will meet at the covenstead on Oct. 19 to prepare for initiation on the 8th of November.

We will again celebrate Samhain at Lady B's house on the 2nd of November. 

On the 6th of December we will meet at the covenstead for Yule Log & Yule tree decorating and a circle.

We will celebrate Yule on the 21st of December at the covenstead

Yes its that time again

At our Lammas Sabbat, we will need to plan a few days to practice for another initiation to take place hopefully at our October coven circle...We all know him and love him dearly and we are thankful he has decided to initiate into our coven!

We continue to grow and welcome others eventually into the Coven of Aradia. We have been blessed with finding the right people who fit in with our coven and we thank the Gods for this...

Lammas is upon us

We will celebrate the Lammas Sabbat at the covenstead. Depending on the weather, we will have the pool open and plan on grilling, then circle afterwards. We may also possibly have a newbie stopping by and meeting everyone with the intention to one day join our coven, so thats always great news!

We will get started that afternoon. Blessed Be All, we love and miss all of you...

Witch's Wishing Well Spell

Take a bowl of whatever you may choose and fill half way with water.

On the night of the Full Moon, take outside in the light of the moon so the Moon Goddess may bless your "wish".

Take something of value to you, has to be small. Like a favorite coin or crystal or whatever and charge your token with your hearts wish or desire.

Toss the magickally charged token into the water and leave outside all night for the Goddess to Bless.

You can leave the witches well outside or may bring indoors. 

Leave your token in their as a "sacrifice" to the Gods. Once you take it out the spell is over.

You can decorate your "witches well" if you like or leave plain.

Summer Solstice Remembered...

I think we all had a wonderful time and the weather decided to hold off witch we are grateful for. The meal was awesome and circle was fun with the meeting dance going off with little practice,lol...

Full moon is tonight so spread a little of your magick and thank the gods for their many blessings. We love all of you and feel we are very blessed to belong to a coven such as all of ours.

Gerald Gardner Biography

This is a good video from you tube talking about Gardner and the early days of modern wicca. I highly recommend viewing it. Also, Oath Bound Secrets is a great channel from a traditional Alexandrian witch.

Summer Solstice

We will start around 3 at the covenstead. Pools open and nothing like a game of badminton or pool volleyball. Menu of grilled chicken, bbq baked beans, and grilled corn.

We will have circle later that night and a solstice bonfire lighting afterwards.

May Esbat and Party

Plans are now for an open circle Esbat on the 25th. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can celebrate our Beltane.

Highly recommended reference "Bible"

 This book I would advise any witch to have in their library. It is in the simplest language and covers anything an aspiring witch could want in a reference bible. It has the "101" sections and gives details by using several wiccan traditions teachings. Yelp, traditional is included which is a bonus. 

 Although I still require The Witches Bible by the Farrars as your main book to go to while you are a dedicate to this coven, this book compliments it very well indeed.

 Amazon has it for like $13 and the kindle edition for like $12. Not a bad price for a book with this much info.

Merry Meet Lady S

We were honored to meet Lady S last night and we all got along just fine. We are looking forward to her joining us in circle and initiation into our coven. It seemed as if we all had known each other for years!

The more magick the merrier...

Merry Meet at the Meet n Greet

We are all so excited to have another meet and greet this Friday night. We hope to welcome another dedicate into our open circle and eventually into our coven!

And if that wasn't news enough, next Tuesday, an old friend comes by for a visit and we are so looking forward to seeing him again!!!

Brightest Blessings All...

Maybe it's just me, but...

I didn't really get into the whole Fox News vs. Wicca "thingie" from a few weeks ago and I just don't really get into the pagan drama that you read about sometimes and their "witch wars"...just don't get it.

Maybe it's me, but I think we have enough on our plate as it is. I just don't have the time nor desire. I have enough on my plate.

At age 41, I have come to understand that most folks ain't gonna change anyway and they typically do pretty much what they gonna do anyway, soooo what's the point in the arguments? Just agree to disagree and understand that differences in opinion is not cause for hatred or petty jealousies.

We are different, every last one of us. Same with the many forms of wicca today and practices of witchcraft. Being in a coven, you realize that everyone is unique and everyone brings something to the plate. It makes it special, it makes us special. The energy felt within a traditional circle is not something easily explained, its magickal. Perfect Love and Perfect Trust

We will never ever never get christians to understand us nor cease in bashing us. Get over it and if you think otherwise, then you have much to learn. We are wiccan, get over that as well. Leave those people alone and avoid arguing with those who have "ears to hear but do not hear". Wiccans who come out of the broom closet must understand what they are opening themselves up to. Be brave but realize you aint gonna change anyone of their opinions.

I still prefer the secrecy and privacy, but thats just my way. Wicca is a very large tent and you only have to follow your own will, not someone elses!

Which is why our coven has open circles on the Sabbats and not coven-only closed circle rituals. We have our tradition but don't force it. All wiccans should be invited to the Sabbats, regardless of tradition.

 <Although it is funny as hell to me to see "Pagan-only not wiccan" or the "witches-only not wiccan" celebrate the 8 WICCAN Sabbats...lol>

Anywho, use your magickal energies and time on yourself and loved ones, not on Fox News or other peoples drama. Our magick doesn't work on stupid. Life is just far too precious and far too short.

WOW, what a wonderful circle last night! We all had a blast and had just the best time. Of course thats what circle is suppose to feel like when you are in a closely knit coven. I am thankful to be apart of this group.

Hopefully now we can plan this meet and greet coming up with a few new folks looking to join our crazy group, lol...

Beltane fastly approaches

 Be planning now what activities, magick , and other witchy things we will be doing this year. Remember, Beltane will be held over at Lady B's house and not at the covenstead. Yes we will have us a May Pole, and a good time. As always, you may stay the night if the ummm festivities are too much for driving home...
